Rand MHE is a national distributor of warehouse, storage and packaging supplies. Our products include a full range of materials handling equipment and packaging products. The first Rand catalog was postmarked from Providence, RI in 1972. On a good day, we received 9 orders. By 1974, business had grown. Rand moved into the old, 6500 sq. ft. Harvest Baking building in Central Falls, RI. After removing the built-in wall ovens, the building was converted into both warehouse and office space. The entire staff increased to 11 people. And, even though we grew more sophisticated, we were still hand-typing mailing labels and gluing them to our catalogs. Every evening, we still bundled the catalogues and drove them to the post office.
Times have changed since 1974. Today, we distribute over 25,000 quality products to more than 350,000 satisfied customers from our distribution center in Janesville, WI.
